MERCHANT CENTER FIX GUIDES

Fix “Inaccurate price status” between your feed and landing page

Typical Merchant Center message: Inaccurate price status due to inconsistency between feed and landing page

Reviewed October 14, 2026 against Google’s published rules.

This message appears when the price or availability in your product data does not match your landing page. Google’s policy reviewers flag these mismatches, and a warning can lead to disapproval if it is not fixed.

Causes Google lists

  1. Your product data is out of step with your site, for example a sale started or ended without a feed update.
  2. The price or availability differs from the page’s structured data (JSON-LD or Microdata).
  3. The page shows several prices. Google says the lowest should be the most prominent and sent as the sale price.
  4. The price changes by location, cookies, browser or device.
  5. A minimum order quantity applies, but the price you sent is for one item.
  6. The title, description or image describes something different from what the price covers, such as an engraving that is not in the price.
  7. A variant link does not open with that variant preselected.
  8. A price range is shown, but the price you sent is not the cheapest one in the range.
  9. Logistics fees are included in the price instead of being sent as shipping.
  10. A dynamically calculated price loads slowly, so crawlers can miss the final value.

How to fix it

  1. Read the examples in Google’s warning email, find what they have in common, and update the price in your product data so it matches the landing page.
  2. Send the corrected data again: upload a file, use the Content API, or import from your ecommerce platform. If you use Shopify and the data does not update, Google suggests switching the sync off and on in the app to force a new sync.
  3. Turn on automatic item updates if you want Google to correct small price and availability differences using your site’s structured data.
  4. Request a review once the fix is live. Google says an account review takes 7 business days, and a failed review means a 7-business-day wait before the next request.
