Fix “Invalid product price” in Google Merchant Center
Typical Merchant Center message: Invalid product price
Reviewed October 14, 2026 against Google’s published rules.
Google reports an invalid product price when one or more products have a price of 0 or below. The price has to be greater than 0.
What Google says
Google’s help article names one exception: mobile phones or tablets sold with a monthly installment or subscription plan can have a price of 0 when there is no up-front payment. Google says this does not apply in Latin American countries, where the full cost of the product is included in the price.
How to fix it
- Open Products, then Needs attention, and filter for this issue to see the affected products.
- Change each price to a value above 0, either with Edit product or in your own product data.
- Check where the zero came from, for example a placeholder price in a draft product or a blank cell your spreadsheet turned into 0.
- To fix many products at once, download the .csv list of affected products from the Needs attention tab, correct your product data and re-upload it.
- Google says it can take 24–72 hours for a fix to leave the Needs attention list.
Check your own catalog for these issues
FeedGuard flags zero and negative prices in your catalog file and shows the row, so you can correct them before you submit the catalog.
