MERCHANT CENTER FIX GUIDES

Fix “Mismatched value (page crawl) [price]” in Google Merchant Center

Typical Merchant Center message: Mismatched value (page crawl) [price]

Reviewed October 12, 2026 against Google’s published rules.

Google compares the price in your feed with the price it finds when it crawls your product page. When the two differ, the product can be disapproved until they match again.

Common causes on Shopify

  1. A sale changed the store price, but the feed still sends the old price — or sends the sale price as the regular price.
  2. The feed item is one variant, but its link opens the default variant with a different price. Variant links need the variant parameter, for example ?variant=123.
  3. Visitors in other markets see converted prices or different price lists, and the crawler saw one of them.
  4. The feed was refreshed hours before the price changed, so the two are temporarily out of step.
  5. A discount or pricing app changes the price after the page loads, while the page’s structured data still shows the original price.

How to fix it

  1. Open the product’s issue in Merchant Center and note the price Google found on the page.
  2. Open the exact link from your feed — including the variant parameter — and compare the visible price and the price in the page’s Product structured data.
  3. If a sale is running, send the regular price as price and the discounted price as sale_price, or update the price everywhere at once.
  4. Make sure each variant’s link points to that variant, not just the product.
  5. Refresh the feed after price changes. Merchant Center’s automatic item updates can correct small price differences in the meantime.
