MERCHANT CENTER FIX GUIDES

Fix “Product page unavailable” in Google Merchant Center

Typical Merchant Center message: Product page unavailable · Unavailable desktop landing page

Reviewed October 14, 2026 against Google’s published rules.

Google reports this when a landing page submitted through the link, link template or mobile link attribute cannot be accessed. Google disables the affected products, and they stop showing in ads and free listings until the page can be reached. A related message, “Unavailable desktop landing page”, covers the desktop version of the page.

Crawl errors Google lists

  1. Page not found (404): use a working landing page URL.
  2. Too many redirects: keep the landing page URL to no more than 2 redirects.
  3. Could not connect, or an HTTP 5xx response: keep your website consistently available.
  4. Can’t access the robots.txt file.
  5. Hostname not resolvable: fix the DNS configuration.
  6. URL protocol problems: URLs must start with http:// or https://, use your verified domain, and encode symbols (for example a comma becomes %2C).

How to fix it

  1. Test the landing page with the URL Inspection tool, choosing desktop or smartphone as the fetch type.
  2. If the site works and the links are the problem, open Products, then Needs attention, filter for this issue and correct the link of each product. In bulk, download the .csv list, check the URLs against your product data and re-upload it.
  3. You can request a website check. Google says it may take up to 12 hours to review your website, and you cannot submit a new request during that time.
  4. Google says the errors should clear within a couple of days.

Check your own catalog for these issues
