Product structured data for Google Shopping: what your pages need

Typical Merchant Center message: Price or availability cannot be verified on the landing page

Reviewed October 12, 2026 against Google’s published rules.

Google reads structured data — schema.org Product with an Offer — on your product pages to confirm the price and availability in your feed. Without it, mismatches are harder to resolve and automatic item updates cannot help.

What the page should contain

  1. A Product with the product name, image, brand and, when it exists, GTIN or MPN.
  2. An Offer with price, priceCurrency and availability that match the feed for that variant.
  3. For products with variants, one offer per variant, with the variant’s SKU, price and stock status.

How to check and fix it

  1. Check a product page with FeedGuard’s free product page checker or Google’s Rich Results Test.
  2. Most Shopify themes output Product data. If yours does not, or shows the wrong price, check recent theme edits and apps that change product pages.
  3. Avoid two conflicting Product blocks on one page — for example one from the theme and one from an app.

Check your own catalog for these issues

FeedGuard reads the structured data on each live product page and compares its price and availability with your catalog.
